Lioncroft Wholesale Limited’s business was formed in 2020 after being bought out from the wider East End Foods’ business. This wholesale business is a £150m turnover company, stretched across two sites with ambitions to grow rapidly in the next few years. It operates through having a diverse customer base across thousands of customers and a strong supplier base.

The Role

Lioncroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations/Logistics/Transport Manager to join a dynamic and growing team within a leading wholesaler in the Midlands. This role is ideal for inspirational leaders with a strong operational/logistics background within wholesale, retail, grocery, B2B, or B2C environments. The ideal candidate would be a high-performing leader with experience in fast-paced environments, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer focus. Brings proven problem-solving ability and confident team leadership, alongside a track record of improving and challenging existing processes. Ideally has a background in transport, logistics, or dispatch, with a solid understanding of delivery operations and last-mile execution.

Main Duties

  • Reasonable for the end-to-end process in fulfilling customers sales orders (Pick-Pack-Delivery)
  • Manages the team to ensure all operating procedures are fully complied with and all KPIs are consistently met.
  • Customer Service; act as the primary point of contact for all delivery-related queries and resolve any delivery issues promptly, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Responsible for the effective planning of the team to maximize productivity & reacts swiftly to challenges & spikes in workload.
  • Actively manages and develops the performance of the team – ensures the team are trained and supported as required as well dealing with performance issues in a timely fashion.
  • Takes proactive ownership of fleet maintenance & compliance across all vehicles.
